Supporting the launch of WA’s Asian Engagement Strategy

"WA's future prosperity is deeply connected to its ability to capitalise on its relationship with Asia.” - The Hon. Peter Tinley AM MLA, Minister for Housing; Veterans Issues; Youth; Asian Engagement.

We were delighted to be in Perth to support the launch of the WA Government’s first Asian Engagement strategy on 30 August.

Presented by The Hon. Peter Tinley AM MLA, the strategy is aimed at creating jobs, attracting investment and diversifying the state’s relationship with Asia across priority sectors, cultural partnerships, and people-to-people relationships. The strategy recognises the rise of the Asian region as the biggest opportunity for WA this century and calls for the development of an Asia Capable workforce across the state. "By developing deeper links and better understanding of the economic drivers of each Asian market, we will identify and deliver greater trade and investment for WA businesses and industries” - Minister Tinley.

The Access Asia grants program is currently accepting applications from small to medium enterprises, Asian business organisations and industry associations to assist with their Asian market access in one of Western Australia’s priority trade and investment sectors.
