With momentum building in the leadup to the inaugural ASEAN-Australia Special Summit later this month, the Minister said Victoria’s new strategy world “strike at the heart” of the state’s diverse commercial activity and people-to-people to links, whilst building on Victoria’s strong footprint and existing connectivity.

“The Victorian Government is serious about building its presence in the ASEAN region, it is serious about enhancing connections, and it is serious about getting the most out of trade and investment.

“We are launching a fresh drive to sharpen our focus on ASEAN markets.

“Today I can announce that we will be preparing a Victorian Government ASEAN Trade and Investment Strategy to build on our existing relationship across the region.

“This strategy will directly address the key opportunities and challenges coming from the region and will focus on two-way connections,” Minister Dalidakis said.
