Developing an Asia capable workforce is a priority for Australia. For Australian businesses, one of the biggest impediments to realising the Asian opportunity is the absence or underdevelopment of critical individual and organisational capabilities.
Research by Asialink, the Australian Industry Group and the Business Council of Australia shows a strong correlation between business success in and with Asia, and a set of critical individual and organisational capabilities. Their absence or underdevelopment is a significant impediment to success in doing business in and with Asia.
In this report, the Asialink Taskforce defines a four-part strategy to develop an Asia capable workforce in Australia.
