Bringing emerging Australian and Japanese leaders together

7 October 2021: Asialink Business is proud to announce our sponsorship and support of the 2021 Australia-Japan Youth Dialogue.

The Australia-Japan Youth Dialogue (AJYD) is an independent, non-partisan diplomatic initiative. It brings together and fosters emerging Australian and Japanese leaders to learn, share and contribute to the strong relationship that exists between Australia and Japan.

Japan is one of Australia's closes partners in the Indo-Pacific, and we share deep trade, strategic, economic, cultural and security links. Our support for the Dialogue reinforces Asialink Business' commitment to fostering the next generation of Asia capable leaders.

As both countries emerge from the COVID pandemic, it has never been more important to ensure that emerging leaders from our two countries, across business, government, education and community sectors, have the deep interpersonal links and intercultural understanding needed to work together and solve our common challenges, now and into the future.

The AJYD will take place in November as an interactive online forum. The third Dialogue since the initiative began in 2017, Asialink Business' support this year builds on our sponsorship of the previous AJYD held in 2019.

The dialogue discussions for 2021 will centre on contemporary topics such as the Australia-Japan trade relations, sustainability, gender equality, and space.

The selection is currently underway for this year's delegates and we look forward to helping to share the news when candidates are announced.
